    1. Introduction

    Provides an overview of the key features of HDDS Explorer along with browser requirements.

    2. User Interface

    The HDDS Explorer user interface provides the overall capability for users to interact with the HDDS Explorer components and services.

    3. Registration and Profile

    The USGS HDDS Explorer system requires users to register in order to download data. Registration also allows users to access all of HDDS Explorer’s features, such as exporting metadata and placing Web Map Service requests.   

    4. Events Tab

    The Events tab allows users to select Emergency Operations events from a menu.

    5. Search Criteria Tab

    The Search Criteria tab allows users to define a smaller area of interest within the boundaries of the event coverage map and/or to define the area of interest for baseline data. Options are also available to modify the date range and the number of records to return on the Results tab.

    6. Additional Criteria Tab

    The Additional Criteria tab lists options that can be modified to narrow search results.

    7. Results Tab

    The results for the search criteria are displayed along with the thumbnail and textual information for each scene. Show Footprint, Show Browse Overlay, Compare Browse, Show Metadata and Browse, Download Options, Bulk Download, Order WMS, Exclude Scene, Result Controls, and Export Metadatare explained in this section.
