3. Registration and Profile
The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) Earth Resources Observation and Science (EROS) Registration System (ERS) centralizes all existing user profile and authentication for USGS EROS Web services into a single independent application. Registration and login credentials are required to access all system features and to download data from HDDS Explorer.
Existing login credentials from EarthExplorer, GloVis and/or CMT may be used to access HDDS Explorer.
View the EROS Registration System Help Document for step-by-step instructions to set up a username, password, and login credentials for HDDS Explorer.
After logging into HDDS, your user name will appear on the top menu bar. The pop down menu linked to your user name provides access to features that are related to your login credentials.
Event Access
Some HDDS data are provided under special licensing agreements that restrict the data's usage. Data is restricted on an event-by-event basis. An example of request for restricted data is commercial data that has a licensing agreement. Click ‘Event Access’ to determine if your account is authorized to access restricted data. The Restricted Access page provides a link to request access.
