    Introduction

    EarthExplorer (EE) (http://earthexplorer.usgs.gov) provides online search, browse display, metadata export, and data download for earth science data from the archives of the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS). EE provides an enhanced user interface using state-of-the-art technologies for searching, viewing, and downloading data.  Note: August 21, 2019 transitioned from Google Map Interface to Leaflet Map Interface.

     

    Key Features in EarthExplorer:

    The following are the hardware and software requirements for using EarthExplorer:

    • Support handheld and tablet devices via browser
    • Hardware Requirements:
      • Any 2 GHz dual core processor or greater
      • Minimum 1 GB of RAM
    • Network Requirements:
      • Broadband connection 1.5 Mbps
      • 3G network impacts display speed
    • Browsers Supported (Current version and one version previous):
